The Madawaska River Cottages are nestled within Madawaska Provincial Park, surrounded by unspoiled natural beauty and teeming with wildlife. Enjoy magnificent morning sunrises with a coffee on our floating docks, or tell stories around a campfire with friends and family, beneath the stars of the northern skies. Embraced by all that nature has to offer, our guests can enjoy a plethora of activities, from fishing and canoeing on the gorgeous Madawaska River to curling up with a book on the docks and unwinding to the sounds of birds and flowing water after a day of hiking and berry picking. We’re also pet friendly, so your furry friend can enjoy the outdoors with you!
The cottages are located on Harrison Trail in Griffith Ontario. This section of the river is very secluded, and canoes and kayaks are the best way to enjoy everything it has to offer. For boating enthusiasts with larger boats, there is a boat launch only 10 minutes away that will grant you access to the larger sections of the Madawaska River as well as the gorgeous Centennial Lake with miles of water to be explored. In the nearby town of Griffith there is an General Store/LCBO/Beer Store as well as a family restaurant and pub so you can go out for burgers and wings, or order a pizza right to your door! Additionally, you will be just 90 minutes from Ottawa, 40 minutes from Calabogie ski resort/rock climbing area and 90 minutes from Algonquin Park.
